The ICON Glide Wheeled Commode is an attendant-controlled Wheeled Commode Chair that has been designed to provide convenient toileting and is perfect for use around the home as well as in residential or hospital environments. Highly versatile, the ICON Glide Commode is equipped with a heat-sealed vinyl seat cushion that provides optimum comfort and makes this chair ideal for use as an occasional indoor porter chair. Manufactured with an exceptionally sturdy, tubular steel frame with a hard-wearing silver finish helps to maximise durability and longevity.
The padded seat and armrests offer maximum comfort and stability for the user when being transferred, whilst the leg rests and footrests provide the utmost support. Manoeuvrability is particularly good with the Drive ICON Glide Wheeled Commode as it incorporates a space-saving push bar and four castors making pushing and moving the wheeled commode effortless. The armrests swing away, as do the footrests, providing easier access and making transfers simpler for the user and carer alike. As standard, the Drive ICON Glide comes supplied with a rear-loading 5 litre capacity bucket and lid.
Bariatric commodes

Bariatric commodes
There are various models of commodes which are explicitly designed for bariatric individuals. The term bariatric refers to severely overweight people to the extent that their day-to-day behaviour is inhibited.
Adapt A Home is required for people in this situation, larger and more robust than standard. One option for bariatric clients is one of our bariatric commodes, which has a rust-proof sturdy design and contoured seat and armrest. In addition, it has a measurement between the arms of 26 inches and a maximum user weight of 60 stone. This makes it suitable for most bariatric patients. While not designed as a wheelchair, it does have small flip-down wheels, which enable it to be positioned as required before use.
