Shear management

During profiling, patients can sometimes experience shear forces that can lead to discomfort and abrasions to the skin. With Shear Management Technology, the backrest of the Ergonomic Plus profiling care bed will swing backwards and upwards during profiling, reducing the chance of the patient sliding down the bed. Therefore it reduces friction and shearing forces. This will greatly reduce the risk of the patient developing pressure ulcers, increasing the efficacy of the pressure relief mattress used with the bed.

Assembly and setup

The Ergonomic Plus bed is extremely simple to assemble, resulting in portability and easy storage that one person can comfortably manage. No single part weighs more than 25kg. The bed ends can be attached to a transport unit for easy manoeuvrability. This makes the Etude Plus Bed range a suitable choice for home, care home or nursing environment.
